San Dimas has been our home for the last decade (and more), so it’s always awesome to do an engagement photography session in our hometown. We know a lot of small, hidden local spots that offer a rustic, natural look with large trees sprawling across dirt hiking trails. Dee and Jon wanted that look and feel, so we decided on doing their San Dimas engagement photos at the Walnut Creek Park.
Starting our Engagement Photography in San Dimas
We like to ease each and every couple into the photography portrait session, since even the idea of taking photos can be intimidating and awkward.
We love using the surrounding features of the park for the session, including a long wooden fence. We love using composition and converging lines.
Moving Down the Trail to a Bridge
We hiked over to another part of the park that has a small bridge, which offered a beautiful backdrop for more photos.
More Engagement Photos on a San Dimas Trail
We continued the session walking along a dirt trail, with lots of greenery and trees in the background.
There is also a small stream in the park, but make sure you bring bug spray!
San Dimas Engagement Photos, by Photographers that Live in San Dimas
We live in San Dimas and we know and love San Dimas. We have tons of examples of engagement photography in San Dimas, including Bonelli Park and many others. We also take may family photos in San Dimas also. Our little town is known for many trails that explore the San Gabriel Mountains, along with local parks offering a lot of greenery and trees.
