It’s sometimes hard to find a secluded spot with trees in the sprawling jungle of Los Angeles. Griffith Park is one of the few locations that offers such a wide assortment of backdrops, but especially near the Old LA Zoo you can find that seclusion. We started our day of Griffith Park engagement photography in a peaceful glen surrounded by trees and greenery.
Starting Engagement Photos at Griffith Park
There was this big huge cage of tree branches that we had to take advantage of.
We moved from the trees on to stairs that led to the old LA zoo inside Griffith Park.

After the rock enclosures, we snuck into the cages, which are covered in graffiti.
On to Brand Park in Glendale
We then hopped over the Brand Park in Glendale, which was a short distance away. More importantly, it’s in our couple’s neighborhood and had some meaning to them for the engagement photos.
I love how the shadow casted on the wall.
Here is the iconic line of palm trees in front of Brand Park in Glendale.
Ending at Sliders Bakery in Burbank
Griffith Park Engagement Photography (along with the Old LA Zoo, Brand Park, and Sliders Bakery)
This engagement photography session took place at Griffith Park, specifically the Old LA Zoo. We then continued the session at Brand Park and finished the engagement photos at Sliders Bakery (and finished with some ice cream). We have plenty of other examples of engagement photography at the Old LA Zoo in Griffith Park.
